With Kirstin, Sophia and Vivian
Episode Notes
In today’s Passion to Action Podcast, you’ll meet three very special Daughters of Change – Kirstin Powell-Williams, Collaboration and Content Program Specialist for the Girl Scouts of Maine, plus Sophia and Vivian – girl scout cookie sellers extraordinaire.
We all have a special place in our hearts for Girl Scout Cookies. Not only because they’re spectacularly delicious – but also because the Girl Scout Cookie Program helps girls fulfill their dreams, follow their passions, and change the world!
This program, which is the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program for girls in the world, helps Girl Scouts fund unique adventures for themselves and their troops all year long. It also allows them to give back to the causes they’re most passionate about. Girl Scout Cookie entrepreneurs learn essential life skills every step of the way, girls are also transformed into bold and brave leaders who will make the world a better place today and in the future.
We discuss:
- The scope of the cookie program
- What skills the girls are learning
- How they are putting their earnings to work for themselves, their troops, and their communities
- How these young women are blazing trails with cookie sales.
