Claudia Kitchens received numerous awards and recognition for her work on behalf of women and children.
Recently retired from her roles as the Executive Director of Kristi House, Claudia has been a successful retail business owner for more than two decades. She coordinated educational and program development activities in the areas of teen sexual health and pregnancy prevention for Our Kids of Miami-Dade/Monroe.
From 2000-2009 Claudia served as the Executive Director of The Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade. She has been the President of Junior League of Miami, Executive Director of Kids Voting Florida and Executive Director of Miami Coalition for the Homeless.
Claudia has been recognized for her success in bringing diverse groups to the table to create strategic solutions to community problems such as homelessness, domestic violence, sexual assault, foster care and more. She has also nurtured several community-based organizations from their founding to vibrant community organizations.
